This presentation is based on the Information Systems Auditing Standards (ISASs) provided by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) for SAP Financial Accounting Module. CAATs such as Test Data, Parallel Simulation, Integrated Test Facility (ITF), and Embedded Audit Module (EAM) enable auditors to gather and analyze audit evidence to test the adequacy and reliability of financial information and internal controls in computerized environments. Auditors use Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs) to extract financial data from the system for achieving the audit objectives. With automation, there is a little audit trail for the transactions and it is crucial to verify the information and assess the operative and design effectiveness of the internal controls.
